Julio Garmendia

– Chef de Cuisine –

As a native Basque, Julio is very familiar with the cuisine of the island. He uses regional products of the highest quality almost exclusively and processes them in a creative manner – also beyond the usual conventions. His greatest inspiration is the deep respect he has for the nature of his homeland.

As head chef, Julio is also responsible for the catering at the events at Castell Miquel, as well as for processing the countless fruits that ripen at our Finca Sa Canova. He is the creative mind and initiator of the in-house gourmet products of the Castell Miquel brand.

His cuisine is exquisite, high-quality and nevertheless typical of the island and down-to-earth. Julio has an emotional inner connection to Majorca with its traditions and people, with its geological conditions and its products. He is a passionate person and an equally passionate chef, who celebrates the preparation of the dishes – and passes on his enthusiasm to you and your guests as part of your event, as well as cooking courses. A real experience for every professional chef, amateur cook or connoisseur!
